Introduction to Quizzes

students / quizzes

Estimated reading time: 30 seconds

Why a written test?

Because code is not muscle memory. If you know a language, you don’t need a keyboard to write it: a sharp stick will do.

Why trick questions?

Because spotting what is wrong is just as important as knowing what is right.

Why so few multiple choice options?

Because the quizzes are a test of your knowledge, not how well you can guess.

Why a closed-book test?

Because sometimes you have to know information; you will not always have time to look it up.

What other resources are available?

For my students, extra practice quizzes can be found on the D2L system.
